In 2020 I decided to learn Adobe XD to further my skills in web design. Over the years, I feel like my style has changed drastically to warrant a change. Most of all, I wanted to make the website more welcoming which I believe I achieved through the use of warm colours and soft shapes. Additionally, the page was animated in Adobe XD, allowing me to visualise the hover effects for the buttons and the portfolio icons. I started to code the website and based it on the layout from Adobe XD. The website runs HTML5, CSS3, and several javascript libraries to create the hover effects and parallax effects for the portfolio images. The website is responsive for all sizes, from Desktop to mobile screens. I also created a dashboard system in the back end to help me add work easily, alongside the category system for all the work.
